The Travis County Medical Society (TCMS) is a component society of the Texas Medical Association (TMA), a statewide professional organization of licensed physicians. With more than 2,800 members, the TCMS represents approximately 90% of all practicing physicians in the Greater Austin area.

The TCMS represents the medical profession in matters of importance to the membership and to the community it serves.

The Society's goals include maintaining high standards of medical practice, professionalism, and ethical conduct, promoting the common interests and unity of physicians in our community, and providing representation and advocacy for patients and physicians at all levels of government and medicine. It sponsors various programs and activities addressing local needs and contributing to a healthier community.
