Access to specialty care is a long-standing chronic problem within the local community of indigent care providers. TCMS President Brian Sayers, MD, is appointing a physician task force to look at this problem from a different point of view, i.e., that of the practicing specialist. The task force will consist of representative practicing specialists. Its goal will be a consensus recommendation for how the current system might be functinally improved to make it more user friendly for the specialist and thus more effective for referring clinics.
For more information, please contact Dr. Sayers at bsayers@austin.rr.com or at 512-454-6054.
