The University of Texas Health Information Technology (Health IT) Program (http://www.biosci.utexas.edu/healthit) needs your assistance! Health IT is moving into a new Learning Center on campus that includes a lecture hall and the “Longhorn Clinic” – a mock clinic with 5 exam rooms and a home health room. Donations of medical office equipment including exam tables, a hospital bed, EKG machines, otoscopes, stethoscopes, and other miscellaneous items (such as eye charts and anatomy posters) are being requested to make the clinic look authentic.

The 2011 Trauma and Critical Care Conference will be held at the AT&T Executive Education and Conference Center June 2-3, 2011. The conference offers basic and cutting edge guidelines and technology for evaluation, diagnosis, and management of trauma patients. The curriculum is designed to enhance the knowledge and skills of physicians, nurses, allied health, and pre-hospital personnel caring for critically ill and injured patient in rural, urban, and suburban hospitals.
