The Travis County Medical Society Foundation annually provides a scholarship to two Texas medical students who graduated from a Travis County high school. Applicants for these scholarships, which were established by the Evans Swann Memorial Trust, are judged on character and ability; financial need is considered, but not mandatory. The scholarships are renewable annually if students demonstrate progress and ability in their medical studies.

Currently enrolled Evans Swann scholars are scheduled to complete their medical studies in 2014, and it is anticipated that the Foundation will be accepting new applications in the fall of 2013.
