The Travis County Medical Society (TCMS) offers Texas residents attending a Texas medical school an opportunity to apply for a scholarship to assist with Medical School expenses. The TCMS is a professional society of over 2800 physicians in the Greater Austin area.

Medical students from the greater Austin area are invited to apply for the TCMS Evans Swann Scholarship which was established by the Evans Swann Memorial Trust. The following criteria was established by the trust:

• Central Texas residents attending a Texas medical school.
• Applicants are judged on character and ability.
• Financial need is considered, but not mandatory.
• Scholarships are renewable annually.
