New Patient Forms: Paul W. John, MD Paul W. John, MD was born in St. Louis, MO, graduated from the University of Dallas, and then attended medical school at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. He then completed his internship and residency training in Family Practice at the Naval Hospital in Charleston, SC. He was a Lieutenant Commander in the US Navy serving as a Medical Officer in Charleston, SC, Guam and Bremerton, WA before residing in Austin, TX. Dr. John has been a practicing physician since 1989 and is Board Certified in Family Practice. He is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians, the Texas Academy of Family Physicians and has been the chairman of the Family Practice Department for Seton Physician’s Hospital Network and served on the credentialing board, as well. His special interests are in preventive medicine, although he enjoys a broad range of Family Medicine. Dr. John is married and has three children. Ivone Bickham, FNP Ivone Bickham is a Family Nurse Practitioner credentialed since 1997. Ms. Bickham attended The University of Texas Master’s Nursing Program to receive her FNP degree. She has had fourteen years of nursing experience, with a pediatric emphasis prior to becoming a family nurse practitioner. Being a nurse practitioner, Ms. Bickham remains in close contact with her real interest in medicine, patient care. In an effort to meet our patient’s individual medical needs, Dr. John works collaboratively with Family Nurse Practitioner Ivone Bickham. She is married and has two children and lives in Pflugerville, TX. Ms Bickham enjoys reading, listening to music and long family walks.
