Medical Advisory Board (MAB) Needs Your Help

The MAB needs physicians willing to assist with approving or rejecting drivers with medical issues, firearm permits and school drivers’ clearances. Currently, there is a backlog of more than 13,000 requests. This is especially critical for patients with dementia. It is concerning to note that it takes six months before a license is revoked. Introducing PeriPAN, a New Mental Health Tool

PeriPAN is the Perinatal Psychiatry Access Network in Texas: a new pilot expansion of the Child Psychiatry Access Network (CPAN). PeriPAN is a free hotline for clinician-to-clinician consultation for providers serving pregnant women and new mothers who are experiencing mental health distress. Our regional psychiatry access center, the University of Texas at Austin, Dell Medical School, is here to support clinicians who may have questions about identifying or treating maternal mental health conditions.

For more information or to enroll in PeriPAN.
