Sustainable Strategies to Support Resiliency and Professional Wellbeing for Healthcare Professionals
July 19

Presented by: American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE) Central Texas Chapter Physician Executive Group

Healthcare leaders often struggle with finding long-term solutions to address an important but personal issue for their staff and organization. Even when leaders recognize this as a problem, they are often presented with confusing information or get-better-quick solutions that bring no lasting change and can sometimes increase cynicism among employees.

During this presentation, participants will learn strategies and approaches that will address well-being and resiliency and the importance of sustaining well-being for healthcare professionals in today’s health care environment.

Moderated by: Tom Jackson, Chief Executive Officer, St. David's North Austin Medical Center

Panelists: Emram Rouf, MD, Seton Health Plan
Brian Sayers, MD, Chair, Travis County Medical Society Physician Wellness Program
Sriram Vishwanath, PhD, Physician Health and Rehabilitation Committee, University of Texas at Austin and
Mike Averitt, DO, Baylor Scott & White Healthcare

Date: Friday, July 19
Time: 7 am - 9 am

Dean Clay Johnston Reflects on Dell Med, Five Years In

Five years into Dell Medical School’s work to revolutionize how people get and stay healthy, Dean Clay Johnston, MD, PhD, provided a look at its progress and plans during the "State of Our School" address on May 21.

Early collaborations are already bearing fruit, including efforts to improve care for veterans, redesign the brain health system and launch mobile health teams that serve people experiencing homelessness. With the opening of UT Health Austin in 2017, Dell Med began putting into practice a person-centered, multidisciplinary approach that rewards value.
