Charge:
The Committee advises the Medical Directors of Austin Travis County EMS and other EMS jurisdictions within Travis County on strategic clinical issues, standards, and protocols and such other issues as may be requested by the Medical Directors.
Physician Health and Rehabilitation (PHRC)
Charge:
This Committee shall operate as a medical peer review committee as that term is defined in the Texas Medical Practice Act. The Committee shall identify and strongly urge evaluation, treatment and rehabilitation, where appropriate, to physicians of Travis County and Central Texas. The Committee shall aid physicians whose ability to practice medicine is impaired, or reasonably believed to be impaired, by Substance Use Disorders (SUD) or mental or physical illness. It shall pursue all ethical means available to identify and offer assistance to physicians who have a potentially impairing condition. It will coordinate its activities with and abide by the guidelines issued by the Texas Medical Association’s Committee on Physician Health and Wellness (PHW).
Physician Wellness Steering Committee
Charge
: The Committee shall be responsible for overseeing the Physician Wellness Program including its Safe Harbor Counseling Program, physician wellness blog, communications, activities that create meaningful community connections and opportunities for creative expression, continuing medical education, and future program development.

Charge: This Committee shall consist of nine members and shall be responsible for supervising or promoting activities which shall result in a proper evaluation by the public of the services of the medical profession, as well as a proper evaluation by the medical profession of its obligation to the public. The committee shall cooperate with the TMA Board of Trustees, with the Council on Communication, and other appropriate organizations of the Association. It shall also perform such other duties as may be required of it by the Society.

Constitution and Bylaws
Charge
: This Committee shall consist of six members appointed for three-year terms with two members appointed each year. The committee shall study and report on all proposed amendments to the Constitution as provided for in Article IX or to the Bylaws as provided for in Chapter 14.
Women in Medicine
Charge
: The Committee works to strengthen female physician engagement and representation in organized medicine through relevant programming. The committee provides opportunities to network with peers and provides a safe space to discuss the unique issues affecting women physicians. All TCMS members are welcome and encouraged to participate in the committee’s activities.
